St Johns Recycling Center

In 1978, the St Johns Lion club initiated a recycling program to help reduce the amount of materials ending up in landfills. In the early years of the recycling program, the only commodity accepted was newspaper. As people became more conservation and resource re-use minded, we accepted more items.

All funds received from the sale of the materials brought to the recycling center, in excess of operating expenses are used by the St. Johns Lions Club to support local community Service and Humanitarian programs.

The St Johns Recycling Center is open for all Clinton county residents to drop off accepted recyclable materials. The Recycling Center is located on North Swegles street between Steel and Lincoln streets. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for people to drop off their recyclable materials.
